Our customer specializes in producing energy storage systems for both industrial and home users. Previously, they faced challenges with ensuring precise and critical tightening during assembly. Their goal was straightforward: to achieve accurate tightening in a simple and efficient manner.
Our technical team proposed the best cordless solutions, focusing on accessibility and safety. Given that their production started with a lower flow, we offered a two-stage equipment investment option to keep initial costs manageable for the investor.
We implemented an outstanding solution from Doga featuring a color-coded bit tray. This innovative system assigns each bit its own designated slot, preventing operator errors that can occur with similar solutions from other suppliers, where identical bit diameters might be mistakenly swapped.
Our client is delighted with the working solution, and we also provide preventive maintenance and equipment calibration to ensure ongoing performance. We are proud to have supported our client’s production launch without any issues.
2. Case
Our customer specializes in the production of automotive equipment. Ensuring precise assembly is critical for their automotive producers, particularly in storing tightening data within their database. Previously, they relied on simple clutch tools, which didn’t require data storage. However, as components became more complex with self-threading joints where rework was not possible, they sought our assistance.
We conducted various on-site and in-house tests to determine the optimal tightening procedure. This procedure involves multiple stages to ensure proper tightening. Given that rework on joints isn’t feasible, it was crucial to verify that each joint was correctly tightened.
Each product is equipped with a serial number and barcode. To meet this requirement cost-effectively, we developed a barcode scanner holder with its own internal battery. The scanner is connected to the tightening system controller, linking the tightening data with the product’s serial number.
This comprehensive solution ensures that all bolts are securely tightened and the data is stored in their MES system. We are proud to have enabled our client to run their production smoothly without any issues. The client is delighted with this cost-effective solution.
3. Case
Our client, a specialist in automotive parts assembly, was previously using various products with different assembly procedures. They produce around 18 different products on the same station, requiring precise sequencing of all tightening procedures.
We provided an excellent solution from Doga: the Doga DPC Touch system. This positioning system controls the entire station with visual instructions for the operator. The DPC Touch system manages the tightening system, which can be programmed with up to 256 different programs. The positioning system defines which tightening program to use at each position, ensuring that all tightening sequences are completed 100% accurately.
Our customer is extremely satisfied with this solution. They have become self-sufficient, able to add new tightening programs for different products as needed.
4. Case
Our customer specializes in manufacturing home appliances, where energy efficiency is paramount in today’s market. To address this concern, we conducted a comprehensive analysis comparing the costs of operating the same assembly station equipped with pneumatic screwdrivers versus electric/cordless tools.
The results were astounding. We demonstrated to the client that investing in new equipment annually far outweighs the time and resources spent on repairing old tools. Not only does this approach significantly reduce downtime, but the return on investment for each new tool is remarkably swift. Furthermore, the introduction of modern tools brings substantial improvements to production processes, ensuring greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the long run.
